Chinese by his great-grandmother Catherine Li-Splingaerd, Japanese by his grandmother Hayashida Sano, he was knight baron about Ordre de Saint-Lazare, of which he was the Prior of the language of the Belgians. Born in Tien-Tsin (Tianjin - China) in 1941, he had passed part of its childhood to Japan. He came to Belgium about 1950. It was son of Lucien Pourbaix and Marie Splingaerd. |  |
